6.63 is now out. There is much to be discussed as there are 55 hero changes and 15 item changes. Enjoy playing everyone!

6.63 Changelog

Heroes

Anti-Mage
- Mana Void AoE increased from 275 to 325
- Strength changed from 16 +1.5 to 20 +1.2

Axe
- Battle Hunger duration reduced from 10/15/20/25 to 10/13/16/19 and increased damage to keep the same total damage output

Bane Elemental
- Fiend's Grip manacost increased from 100/175/250 to 200/300/400

Batrider
- Reduced base damage from 64-70 to 48-52
- Sticky Napalm fixed from doing a higher constant slow instead of stacking and starting lower
- Sticky Napalm manacost increased from 15 to 20

Blood Seeker
- Base armor reduced by 2 points

Bone Fletcher
- Strafe changed from 50/60/70/80 AS for 10 seconds to 90 AS for 4/6/8/10 seconds

Bounty Hunter
- Imported a custom model for him that has his selection box fixed

Bristleback
- Warpath's attack speed increase changed to bonus damage (10/20/30 base with 4/8/12 bonus per stack)

Broodmother
- Insatiable Hunger lifesteal increased from 40/55/70% to 40/60/80%
- Insatiable Hunger duration increased from 12 to 14 seconds

Centaur Warchief
-Double Edge manacost removed
-Double Edge can no longer cause a suicide

Chaos Knight
- Phantasm cooldown decreased from 180 to 180/160/140

Clockwerk
- Rocket Flare vision reduced from 5/10/15/20 to 10 seconds
- Battery Assault damage reduced from 20/40/60/80 to 10/30/50/70

Dark Seer
- Ion Shell manacost increased from 60/80/100/120 to 70/90/110/130
- Wall of Replica no longer replicates allies
- Wall of Replica now deals 125 damage each time it affects an enemy hero
- Wall of Replica illusions damage improved from 35% to 60%

Drow Ranger
- Attack range increased from 600 to 625

Earthshaker
- Echo Slam now deals half bonus damage from corpses instead of full

Enchantress
- Strength growth decreased from 2.0 to 1.0

Furion
- Teleportation cooldown from 60/50/40/30 to 50/40/30/20
- Wrath of Nature now has a global cast range

Huskar
- Berserker's Blood stacking cap of attack speed and damage removed

Juggernaut
- Healing Ward cooldown reduced from 75 to 60

Keeper of the Light
- Illuminate max range is now constant at all levels

Lanaya
- Strength growth increased from 1.7 to 2.1

Lich
- Movement speed increased by 10

Lina Inverse
- Base intelligence increased by 5 points and reduced base damage by 5 (total attack damage unchanged)

Lone Druid
- Spirit Bear's entangle no longer prevents the target from attacking
- Spirit Bear's entangle damage increased from 40/sec to 60/sec

Lord of Avernus
- Death Coil cast range reduced from 600 to 300

Luna
- Lucent Beam now has a constant 0.6 ministun instead of 0.01/0.1/0.3/0.6

Magnataur
- Empower cooldown reduced from 12 to 7 seconds
- Reverse Polarity duration increased from 2/3/4 to 2.5/3.25/4

Morphling
- Morph's passive Agility and Strength bonus removed

Naga Siren
- Mirror Image illusion count changed from 1/2/3/3 images to a constant 3
- Mirror Image illusion damage taken changed from 300% to 600/500/400/300%
- Mirror Image illusion damaged dealt changed from 15/30/30/45% to 30/35/40/45%

Nerubian Assassin
- Mana Burn reworked



Nerubian Weaver
- Base damage increased by 5 points
- Geminate attack now works against towers

Nightstalker
- Void now slows for 2 seconds during daytime

Pandarean Brewmaster
- Fire Panda now has maximum movement speed

Phantom Assassin
- Stifling Dagger cooldown reduced from 10 to 8 seconds

Phantom Lancer
- Juxtapose image lifetime increased from 15 to 20 seconds

Priestess of the Moon
- Starfall random chance to hit in 600-900 range removed

Puck
- Illusory Orb manacost increased by 25, Ethereal Jaunt manacost (25) removed

Pugna
- Nether Ward's Mana Flare cooldown removed (was 0.75)

Queen of Pain
- Shadow Strike cooldown decreased to 20/17/14/11
- Scream of Pain cooldown decreased from 10 to 7 seconds

Razor
- Base strength increased from 17 to 21

Rexxar
- Greater Hawk's invisbility increased from 4 to 6 seconds duration

Rhasta
- Mass Serpent Wards cooldown increased from 100/80/60 to 110

Rooftrellen
- Attack range changed from 100 to 128

Sand King
- Sand Storm cooldown from 40/35/30/25 to 40/30/20/10

Silencer
- Curse of the Silent duration changed from 2/4/6/8 to 5/6/7/8
- Curse of the Silent damage/burn reduced from 50/25 hp/mp to 20/10, 30/15, 40/20 and 50/25.
- Curse of the Silent cooldown reduced from 20 to 14
- Curse of the Silent manacost decreased from 105/115/125/135 to 75/95/115/135

Sniper
- Shrapnel cast range increased by 300

Sven
- Base agility increased from 16 to 21

Tauren Chieftain
- Ancestral Spirit cast range decreased from 1500 to 1000
- Earth Splitter AoE decreased
- Earth Splitter cooldown increased from 90/75/60 to a constant 100

Tiny
- Toss cooldown decreased from 15 to 10 seconds
- Craggy Exterior armor decreased by 1

Troll Warlord
- Battle Trance attack speed bonus increased from 60/80/100 to 60/100/140

Undying
- Dying plagued units heal reduced from 12%/3% on heroes/creeps to 6%/2%
- Tombstone armor reduced from 10 to 4

Ursa Warrior
- Fury Swipes damage increased from 6/12/18/24 -> 10/15/20/25

Viper
- Movement speed decreased by 10

Witch Doctor
- Voodoo Restoration initial activation manacost reduced from 50/75/100/125 to 25/50/75/100
- Paralyzing Casks manacost rescaled from 140 to 110/120/130/140

Zeus
- Agility decreased from 15 + 1.7 to 11 + 1.2



Blood Stone
- Charge bonus and acquisition reworked



Boots of Travel
- Movement speed increased from 90 to 95

Dagon
- Manacost reduced from 245/225/205/185/165 -> 180/160/140/120/100

Eul's Scepter
- Movement bonus increased from 20 to 25
- Now requires a sobi mask instead of a Robe of the Magi (100% Mana regen -> 125%, 16 Int->10 Int, 125 cheaper recipe).

Energy Booster
- Now available for purchase in the side shops

Force Staff
- Manacost decreased from 100 to 25
- Cooldown decreased from 30 to 25

Heart of Tarrasque
- Regenerates only while you are out of combat (haven't taken damage from player units for 10 seconds)
- Regeneration increased from 1% to 2%

Kelen's Dagger
- Cooldown decreased from 18 to 14

Khadgar's Pipe of Insight
- Recipe uses Headdress of Rejuvenation instead of Buckler. Loses armor bonus.
- Can no longer affect the same unit more than once every 50 seconds



Mask of Madness
- Increased attack speed from 75 to 100
- Increased move speed from 15% to 20%
- Increased damage taken from 20% to 30%,
- Amplified damage happens as you take the damage once again

Magic Wand
- Recipe cost increased from 125 to 150

Mjollnir
- Recipe changed from Eaglehorn to Hyperstone, bonuses adjusted



Orchid Malevolence
- Reduced manacost from 200 to 100

Phase Boots
- Recipe and bonuses reworked



Power Treads
- Recipe and bonuses reworked

Hate the fact that Undying is still going to be bullshit imba, but at least Nerubian Assasin has received Mana Burn that is viable all game long and is not broken at the same time.

well, in regards to undying, the fact that dps is much more viable (especially with phase boots), you'll find that the giant nerf to tombstone kills it almost immediately, making undying a good deal less scary.

very nice updates.. cool.
especially like Centaur Warchief, Furion, Gondar, Nerubian Assassin, Lone Druid..

Does anyone else think that Huskar's capless Blood bonus is too strong?

Also, no attack speed from Power Treads? that's gonna be weird.. and I don't get the attribute bonuses from this.

Viper.... Like 10 ms is the reason he is imba....
has a bloody slow anywais.. and almost all viper build needs a freaking BOT... and that got buffed... sooo.. 5 ms? Nice... not

-450 HP
-400 MP
-6 HP Regeneration
-150% Mana Regeneration

-- Gains 1 charge per nearby (1000) enemy hero death
-- 1 MP/sec per charge
-- Loses half charges per death (rounded down)
-- On Death: Heals 400+25xCharges HP of alied units in 1700 aoe
-- Gold lost on death is reduced by 25 per charge
-- Respawn time is reduced by 3 seconds per charge
So no bonus Hp regen?  Still on death heal is nice..

It amounts to 157 hp in the end. Comparable to Necrolyte strength nerf, imo. In any case, no amount of stat buffs/rebuffs will make Magina viable, he needs a monstrous farm and BKB else he cannot do shit (or is good against a very limited number of lineups).

Ahahah they finally fixed that fucking gondar! Every single change was super. I like the fact that the boots are completely different. Phase boots armour bonus gone + pipe armour bonus gone = gg pipe? Heart can't tank shit in battle, majestic.

i like the heart nerf. i just played 2 games where i got the new heart... it kinda sucks not having the 1% regen the old one had. now you have ZERO regen in battle.

Decent but this is a not needed change
BAD
Need some game


Anti-Mage
- Mana Void AoE increased from 275 to 325

Boost his abysmal early and nerf his late.


Axe
- Battle Hunger duration reduced from 10/15/20/25 to 10/13/16/19 and increased damage to keep the same total damage output
The change is good BUT this skill need total rework because the concept is broken.


Bane Elemental
- Fiend's Grip manacost increased from 100/175/250 to 200/300/400
Good BUT what makes this hero omgwtfbbq is NIGHTMARE. Nightmare can stop a gank completely at early game and stop late game heroes completely later.


Batrider
- Reduced base damage from 64-70 to 48-52
- Sticky Napalm fixed from doing a higher constant slow instead of stacking and starting lower
- Sticky Napalm manacost increased from 15 to 20
Expected.


Blood Seeker
- Base armor reduced by 2 points
Reduce this hero specialty to hunt down red hp heroes by tower diving at early game is BAD.


Bone Fletcher
- Strafe changed from 50/60/70/80 AS for 10 seconds to 90 AS for 4/6/8/10 seconds
Good change but still doesnt has big impact on this hero.


Bounty Hunter

The current Hunger is fine. But buffing it doesn't hurt at all.

You can say that the second change is a nerf but its needed.


Chaos Knight

More pushing power = GOOD.


Clockwerk

Look, once again Clockwerk enter the competitive match! NERF HIM QUICK!!!!!!1111!!!!! A really unneeded nerf.


Dark Seer
- Ion Shell manacost increased from 60/80/100/120 to 70/90/110/130
- Wall of Replica no longer replicates allies
- Wall of Replica now deals 125 damage each time it affects an enemy hero
- Wall of Replica illusions damage improved from 35% to 60%
The Ion Shell is needed although its still unbalance, 130 mana for 500++ damage. The Wall of Replica is bad and will limited the use of this skill (some use of this ulti that no longer can be used is echo/ravage-baiting or move our carry's image to provoke some disable). And not a change to Vacuum? Vacuum is the skill that makes this hero near imba-realm.


Drow Ranger
- Attack range increased from 600 to 625
After Sniper, now this hero get attack range increased. Near imba i must say.


Earthshaker
- Echo Slam now deals half bonus damage from corpses instead of full
Needed although i hate it.


Enchantress
- Strength growth decreased from 2.0 to 1.0
What makes this hero near the imba realm is her HEAL. Nerfing her already abysmal health is questionable.


Furion
- Teleportation cooldown from 60/50/40/30 to 50/40/30/20
- Wrath of Nature now has a global cast range
What makes Furion almost never-picked isn't those skills. His HP and Treant is the one who needed attention.


Huskar
- Berserker's Blood stacking cap of attack speed and damage removed
More cap removed! But meh, what makes this hero bad is his concept.


Juggernaut
- Healing Ward cooldown reduced from 75 to 60
Okay. BTW Jugg is fine in the hand of player who know to use him.


Keeper of the Light
- Illuminate max range is now constant at all levels
Decent but not noticeable.


Lanaya
- Strength growth increased from 1.7 to 2.1
This hero concept is dealing tons of damage in few seconds and then disappear not chasing while you tanking some damage. And she already has some survivability.


Lich
- Movement speed increased by 10
Give him some extra babysitting (the ms for faster ward-placing as well as attack animation cancel) and finishing the escaping enemy (via Nova) power.


Lina Inverse
- Base intelligence increased by 5 points and reduced base damage by 5 (total attack damage unchanged)
Good but 65 mana is still far from enough for this bitch. maybe give her 3rd skill to do some mana-thing?


Lone Druid
- Spirit Bear's entangle no longer prevents the target from attacking
- Spirit Bear's entangle damage increased from 40/sec to 60/sec
Needed nerf and Needed buff.


Lord of Avernus
- Death Coil cast range reduced from 600 to 300
300 means he must stay near the battlefield which is the point of skill one and four. Good but the nerf is too much and apothic shield, the skill that make him pub-havoc as well as competitive-madness, does not get any attention from Mr.Ice.


Luna
- Lucent Beam now has a constant 0.6 ministun instead of 0.01/0.1/0.3/0.6
Okay but can you bring back the eclipse and die thing, Mr.Ice?


Magnataur
- Empower cooldown reduced from 12 to 7 seconds
- Reverse Polarity duration increased from 2/3/4 to 2.5/3.25/4
The ulti is nice but the empower thing need couple of game.


Morphling
- Morph's passive Agility and Strength bonus removed
Not needed. He picked everytime because his ulti allows him to travel from point A to B in instant with a very low mana and quick cooldown making him almost immortal. This nerf also remove some early game power which is bad.


Naga Siren
- Mirror Image illusion count changed from 1/2/3/3 images to a constant 3
- Mirror Image illusion damage taken changed from 300% to 600/500/400/300%
- Mirror Image illusion damaged dealt changed from 15/30/30/45% to 30/35/40/45%
Awesome. The first one is needed while the second and third not very needed but still decent.


Nerubian Assassin
- Mana Burn reworked
Really need couple of game.


Nerubian Weaver
- Base damage increased by 5 points
- Geminate attack now works against towers
Good but not very needed. Her geminate attack needs complete rework.


Nightstalker
- Void now slows for 2 seconds during daytime
Another good buff but not the flaw of this hero. He is a creep in day and an average hero in the night.


Pandarean Brewmaster
- Fire Panda now has maximum movement speed
?????????????????????????????????????? After the 10++ page thread in balance discussion, ice come up with this?


Phantom Assassin
- Stifling Dagger cooldown reduced from 10 to 8 seconds
Not really needed. he is fine and a great example of how "carry" hero should be. Weak but still got chance in early game and strong in late game.


Phantom Lancer
- Juxtapose image lifetime increased from 15 to 20 seconds

Priestess of the Moon
- Starfall random chance to hit in 600-900 range removed
Big Deal. Starfall is not the skill that makes this hero picked everytime, Elune's Arrow is. Make elune's stun scale with level and increase the range needed for 5 seconds stun is what she need imo.


Puck
- Illusory Orb manacost increased by 25, Ethereal Jaunt manacost (25) removed
Puck doesnt need ethereal jaunt to farm creeps with illusory but no mana cost on Jaunt might save Puck a few times so NULL.


Pugna
- Nether Ward's Mana Flare cooldown removed (was 0.75)
Almost not noticeable. And she needs rework on her ulti.


Queen of Pain
- Shadow Strike cooldown decreased to 20/17/14/11
- Scream of Pain cooldown decreased from 10 to 7 seconds
Good but not really needed. Is Scream hit fog unit now?


Razor
- Base strength increased from 17 to 21
Nice change, now he can try some early game kill in one on one lane.


Rexxar
- Greater Hawk's invisibility increased from 4 to 6 seconds duration
This hero will be a nice stomp pick because of the birdhax. Good change but might be a little Overpowered at Pub.


Rhasta
- Mass Serpent Wards cooldown increased from 100/80/60 to 110
Isn't the long-ass cooldown is the one which makes this hero isn't picked some versions ago? And wards is weak at later level (16) and the quick cd is what makes this skill still good even at the late game. Maybe 110/100/90?


Rooftrellen
- Attack range changed from 100 to 128
Okay.


Sand King
- Sand Storm cooldown from 40/35/30/25 to 40/30/20/10
For blink and second burrow?


Silencer
- Curse of the Silent duration changed from 2/4/6/8 to 5/6/7/8
- Curse of the Silent damage/burn reduced from 50/25 hp/mp to 20/10, 30/15, 40/20 and 50/25.
- Curse of the Silent cooldown reduced from 20 to 14
- Curse of the Silent manacost decreased from 105/115/125/135 to 75/95/115/135
Sup Ice, CotS rapes pub really bad but near useless at competitive game. Complete rework maybe?


Sniper
- Shrapnel cast range increased by 300
Okay.


Sven
- Base agility increased from 16 to 21
Not needed since a lot of Sven player will go IAS as their primary stats to focus.


Tauren Chieftain
- Ancestral Spirit cast range decreased from 1500 to 1000
- Earth Splitter AoE decreased
- Earth Splitter cooldown increased from 90/75/60 to a constant 100
Nice and Spot On. Good Job. But he still need Mana Cost increase on Spirit since 110 mana for 240 damage and 210310293 effect is not nice.


Tiny
- Toss cooldown decreased from 15 to 10 seconds
- Craggy Exterior armor decreased by 1
Nice!


Troll Warlord
- Battle Trance attack speed bonus increased from 60/80/100 to 60/100/140
Sup Ice, do you know that this hero really broken at late game? and now you give him more late game power and neglect his abysmal early?


Undying
- Dying plagued units heal reduced from 12%/3% on heroes/creeps to 6%/2%
- Tombstone armor reduced from 10 to 4
The 10 armor tombstone get destroyed pretty fast atm. and now 4 armor? it will gone in second at mid to late game.


Ursa Warrior
- Fury Swipes damage increased from 6/12/18/24 -> 10/15/20/25
Need couple of game.


Viper
- Movement speed decreased by 10
Need couple of game.


Witch Doctor
- Voodoo Restoration initial activation manacost reduced from 50/75/100/125 to 25/50/75/100
- Paralyzing Casks manacost rescaled from 140 to 110/120/130/140
Good change but voodoo restoration need rework to fit with the rest of his skill imo.


Zeus
- Agility decreased from 15 + 1.7 to 11 + 1.2
This will make Zeus really really fragile combined with the item changes. but needed since his offensive power is awesome.
