Story


Momoku is a brilliant apothecary proficient in magic potions that can sometimes cause unintended effects, lending her unconditional help to the Sentinel. She can cause havoc matching the most powerful of magic using elixirs that explode in the battlefield. She creates mind-boggling potions that can do various chaotic effects. A valuable asset to the Sentinel, she is one whose potions cannot be stopped.

Elixir

Throws unstable elixirs, allowing ranged splash attacks (250 AoE, 450 range) and different skill effects.

Level 1 - 5 bonus damage, 25% splash.
Level 2 - 10 bonus damage, 50% splash.
Level 3 - 15 bonus damage, 75% splash.
Level 4 - 20 bonus damage, 100% splash.

From a melee whacker, she turns into a concoction-thrower with 450 range and gains a splash attack. This is practically a stance skill, changing the effects of her following skills. This works like Troll's first skill, based on Bear form, I think.

Though the bonus damage comes in handy when last hitting, too! Note the 30 second cooldown.

Animation: Something like Unstable Concoction expect more explodey, indicating splash damage

Cooldown: 30 seconds
Mana Cost: 0 mana

Mega Potion

Drenches an enemy in an unknown liquid, causing various effects which last 5 seconds. If melee, it deals damage, reduces Armor and slows. If ranged, blinds, and mini-stuns every time it takes damage.

Level 1 - Melee: 40 damage, -1 Armor, 10% slow. Ranged: 10% blind, 0.1 second stun.
Level 2 - Melee: 80 damage, -2 Armor, 20% slow. Ranged: 20% blind, 0.2 second stun.
Level 3 - Melee: 120 damage, -3 Armor, 30% slow. Ranged: 30% blind, 0.3 second stun.
Level 4 - Melee: 160 damage, -4 Armor, 40% slow. Ranged: 40% blind, 0.4 second stun.

This has a different set of effects depending if you are melee or ranged. Choose what you like, all last 5 seconds and have their own uses.

Damage Type: Magical
Animation: Liquidy?

Cooldown: 10 seconds
Mana Cost: 90/100/110/120 mana

Magic Ether

Contaminates a target 450 AoE with an ether that causes random things to happen to allies and enemies. Effects differ whether you are melee or ranged.

Level 1 - 1 effect.
Level 2 - 2 effects.
Level 3 - 3 effects.
Level 4 - 4 effects.

LOL, this skill is so random. How is it coded? It sorts through a list of random triggered events, depending if you are melee or ranged. Melee has bad effects, while ranged has good effects. For the sake of balance, good effects happen only to allies and bad effects to enemies. Each effect can happen more than one and can stack, except Avatar, Silence, Stun and Invisibility.

Melee/Bad:
• 200 damage
• 100 mana burn
• 2 second stun
• 4 second silence
• -20% damage
• -5 Armor
• -20% MS
• -35% AS

Ranged/Good:
• 250 HP heal
• 200 mana heal
• +5 Armor
• +20% MS
• +35% AS
• 3 second Avatar
• +20% damage
• 5 second Invisibility

Ability Type: Active Location Targeting
Animation: Coolblue effects on affected units

Cooldown: 25 seconds
Mana Cost: 80/100/120/140 mana

Conjure

Conjures a variety of potions, which change every 5 seconds (Purple-Blue-Green). Each potion has devastating effects.

Level 1 - Purple deals 300 damage to a single target. Blue hexes for 2.5 seconds. Green makes invulnerable for 4 seconds.
Level 2 - Purple deals 450 damage to a single target. Blue hexes for 3.5 seconds. Green makes invulnerable for 5 seconds.
Level 3 - Purple deals 600 damage to a single target. Blue hexes for 4.5 seconds. Green makes invulnerable for 6 seconds.

The cycle starts at Purple, then changing to Blue after 5 seconds, then Green after another 5, then back to Purple. Each color has its own effect, while Green can only be used on allies. Helpful in various situations. Tower diving, burst nuking, disabling, to name a few.

Damage: Magical
Animation: Colored potion flying straight at an enemy

Cooldown: 60 seconds
Mana Cost: 150 mana

Rose is the one without ass-kissing, but Momoku/Lorekeeper has two, so they balance each other out.

three words to summarize my thoughts:

Too damn random.

I mean, I see where you are going with this but nothing seems to synergize except for forced synergy. Everything causes a random effect or makes you have to wait for the skills that you want happen.

The role of this hero seems to be support but then you give it an immobile stance which not only costs mana but only slightly increases it's offensive viability.

Give it more offensive / defensive / supporting viability and a steady concept of skills. As of right now, you might as well just slap on one skill and call it 'Cast Random Spell'

Holding Vote.


..oh and what does Lore Keeper have anything to do with making or conjuring potions? Seems more scientific and alchemy related rather then magic.

No REQUIRED forced synergy as they all set to Melee as default (since you start as Melee, no duh).

Well, a random but SURE-TO-HELP effect isn't that random at all, is it? You just don't know what's going to happen, you just know it will help. Kind of like Chaos Bolt, it is random, but in the end it will always do something to help, unlike Bash, which is lame.

Well, I didn't want this Hero to rely on attacks so much so I will remove the Magical attack from the Elixir. So she shall be a pure buffer/debuffer and disabler/nuker!

Nobody has a better name. Was considering others, like Childlike Emperor, The Angry Hobbit, Unholy Donuts but then Lore Keeper sounded better.

Well, the first skill, it's too much like Metamorphosis in my opinion. Also, Elixir doesn't fit it at all. Also, I hate that you have different effects for melee and ranged heroes. As if melee doesn't have a disadvantage already... The ultimate seems very, very fun though. However, changing every 5 seconds is too often. Maybe 20.

I'm going to close this and use the Ultimate as a normal skill in my Dark Rogue Hero. Goodbye Momoku.
