General Rules
The music subforum is meant to foster open discussion about any sort of music.  As such, posters must obey the following rules.

1) You may NOT insult another poster's tastes in music.  You may say such things as "I don't really like xxx because..." but you may NOT say "xxx sucks" etc...  Disussion of ANY kind of music IS allowed.
2) Topics should be such that there is plenty of room for discussion.  Topics such as "MC Hammer Blows, Discuss" or "What is your favorite song?" are not acceptable.  Asking a thought-provoking question or writing a review is much, much better.
3) Links to streaming video or music are acceptable (youtube, vh1, mtv, etc).  However, links to illegal downloads are NOT.
4) Discussion of music in languages other than English are completely fine.  However, due to forum-wide rules and the need to moderate such posts, the discussion itself must take place in English.
5) All Random Chat Rules and General Forum Rules apply.  (No flaming, no spam etc.)

Posting Format
To keep discussion organized, posters should use a tag as the first word in their title or subtitle.  Some examples (others are possible):

[Genre] This is for general discussion of a genre or subgenre of music.
[Artist] For a particular artist or group.
[Album] For a particular album or release.
[Song] For a particular song.
[Video] For a music video.
[Instrument] For an instrument.

Only one general thread for any given topic will be allowed, but threads on more detailed classifications are fine.  For example, only one topic on Techno will be allowed, but a topic on Techno and one on Trance (a subgenre of Techno) is fine; only one general topic on guitars will be allowed, but if you want to discuss your particular brand of guitar, that is fine as well.

Staff

Current RC staff will oversee this subforum.

Suggestions

If you have any suggestions for improvements or contests in this forum, you may post them here.

ENJOY!

I'm willing to bet that since all other forum rules will still apply that you'll have to post in English.

Now you could post about a Japanese, Swedish, ect. band but it would have to be done in English.

I don't see why anyone would have a problem with that though.

I'd definitely be interested in a staff position here, FWIW.

This forum seems to be made of win.

That hasn't made a difference in the past. Although It's normally hard to judge character of a person unless you have something they can base it off of. I honestly don't know how they pick a person for a Mod spot, I'm guessing it has to do with how you handle yourself though.

I wouldn't worry about post count though. I don't see why that would make a difference as long as you have shown you are a semi-responsible person.

Same, I've got an extremely large knowledgeable extension on about all branches of music.

I play multiple instruments, and I know how almost everything works.

Except for the theremin and I swear, I don't understand it in the least bit or to any small extent.

Question, what about links to music that is "free" and has no copy right or any of that other crap for Protection, the music I am talking about are called chip tunes....

if you require more info on what this type of music is look here.

if you would like a sample of this music try some of these.

1: Zalza - Final Countdown
2: cerror - N-gen#2
3: Radix - hei gonna chip
4: no├┐header - winter

this music is recorded in a special format called Xm,mod,sf3,it and a few others, and to play this music you will ether have to get the plugins for your media player so it can read these or you can use this app here called "Xmplayer" which can play all these types of music + others as well.

though alot of people may not like these its still music and it is really nice music imho, also if you want more samples I have over 8000 artist that do this type of music.

@KapitanL:  Any musical discussion is fine, so yes, you may.

@DBX_5TM:  As long as the content is verifiably uncopyrighted, that is fine.

@everyone else:  28awg has decided that we don't need other moderators at this time.   The current RC staff will oversee this subforum.

If anyone has suggestions for contests or the like, you may most them here.

I would love to love on you right now.
