They should look up basic facts about the country (population, capital, flag, etc) and research an important person from that country (no sports stars). They will create a presentation for the class that includes some sort of visual stimulation (pictures on powerpoint, a food from that country, music, etc)
They will hand in one handwritten page about the important person from their country that explains why he or she was/is important. They will also hand in a 2-3 page, handwritten story about a trip to that country real or imagined and what they would see and do and why. This can be done in diary or letter form or as a type of itinerary. "
