IGN: Plus it's not historically accurate?
Kobayashi: The Japanese version of the game is based on Japanese history. There are some fantasy elements that didn't actually happen, of course, but enough of it is there. With the U.S. version, we've taken that element out entirely. Some of the backgrounds may retain that eastern flair. Many of them don't and are brand new; many of the enemies are brand new; and it's no longer based around the idea of feudal Japan at all. That part of the game has now been changed to be darker, devilish.
makes me wonder exactly how the anime will go.

Itsuro Kawasaki (Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE The Movie: Princess of the Birdcage Kingdom, Yumedamaya Kidan) is directing the anime, and Yasuyuki Muto (Persona -trinity soul-, Basilisk) is supervising the scripts. Tooru Ookubo (Blood+, Seirei no Moribito) serves as both the character designer and chief animation director. Kazuya Nakai, Souichiro Hoshi, and Norio Wakamoto will reprise their game roles as the Warring States Period figures Date Masamune, Sanada Yukimura, and Oda Nobunaga, respectively.
Date Masamune - Kazuya Nakai
Sanada Yukimura - Soichiro Hoshi
Oda Nobunaga - Norio Wakamoto
Because people who use six swords at once are awesome.
I expect the anime to suck, though I'll still be watching it just because.

Each of the guys look GAR, I mean, even Kenshin looks like a man (and he sounds like Cornelia). The real downside so far are the girls. Each of them also look like men. (I don't think Itsuki will be making an appearance but let's hope)
It won't follow the plot of the games since there never really was a plot for them, except Oichi's story, which could be told in many different ways and even be made better. (imo they should follow her story)
I just hope they don't try developing the plot too much and go ahead into a fail mindfuck ending.
This should be good enough for me.
